Jausiers village

In the heart of Ubaye, at the gates of the Upper Valley and the Mercantour National Park, the village is superb, its architecture and its famous Mexican villas such as the Château des Magnans (which recalls the castle of Neuschwanstein in Germany which Walt Disney inspired for "Sleeping Beauty") will amaze you.

Dominated by its bell tower, life is colorful and peaceful and you can explore the center through the pedestrian streets. The surrounding landscapes are beautiful.

At the foot of the highest road in Europe (the Col de la Bonette, 2802 meters), Jausiers is the ideal place for cyclists, moreover Jausiers was the smallest destination town of the Tour de France in July 2008 The runners appreciated the mixture of Alps and Provence.

Its clean air attracts many fans of air sports and the Ubaye, with its clear waters, fans of whitewater sports.

It is also a land of discovery for hiking and mountain biking.
